Connect an EirPost account to EirLink, prepay a shipping balance on eirpost.ie, and every label is paid from that balance at the published rate for its weight band. EirLink itself stays free.

Create or sign in to EirPost
The EirPost account holds your balance and your label history. If you already use eirpost.ie, it is the same account, and the same balance pays for labels on both.

Add balance
Top up on eirpost.ie by card, from €10. The balance is non-refundable and never expires, so add what you will use.

Connect to EirLink
Press Connect EirPost, approve the connection on eirpost.ie, and EirPost appears beside your other carriers. Already have EirLink? It links to your existing account.

What you can count on
Real An Post tracked labels
Every label is a genuine An Post label with tracking, printed from your EirLink dashboard and handed in at an An Post counter or collection as usual.
Labels are paid from your balance
You see the price before each label and it comes off the balance you loaded. Nothing is charged to a card afterwards, and a label that fails is not charged at all.
Weights are checked against the invoice
An Post weighs every parcel. If one was declared lighter than it is, the difference in postage is taken from your balance after the monthly An Post invoice. Broadly right is fine; nobody needs to weigh to the gram.
Questions from the inbox
Does EirLink import my Shopify orders?
Yes. Once your store is connected, unfulfilled orders import on their own, and each one can be labelled with EirPost in a click or by an automation rule.
Are orders marked fulfilled in Shopify?
Yes. When the label is created, EirLink sends the tracking number back to Shopify and marks the order fulfilled, so your customer gets the usual shipping email with live tracking.
What if I get a weight wrong?
Enter the packed weight as best you know it; parcels are priced in bands up to 0.5, 1, 1.5 and 2 kg. If An Post bills a heavier band than you declared, the difference is taken from your balance after the monthly invoice and shows in your EirPost ledger. Nothing is charged twice.
Can I get a refund, or cancel a label?
Top-ups are non-refundable and never expire. To cancel an unused label, email contact@eirpost.ie with the tracking number; an approved cancellation credits your balance, not your card.
I sell on Etsy as well. Does the balance cover that?
Yes. The same balance pays for labels created on eirpost.ie, including Etsy orders and bulk CSV uploads, so one top-up covers every channel.
